Appeal by Oleg Bakhmatyuk and the staff of Avangard and Ukrlandforming Group of Companies

Dear Mr President,

Once again I appeal to you on behalf of the Avangard and Ukrlandfarming Group of Companies. The NABU officials are crossing the line of common sense, they are aimed at the complete destruction of our company, and no laws are written for them. Two to three years ago NABU investigated and closed two cases against the Avangard company. But in late December last year the Prosecutor General's Office resumed them at the NABU request. The cases in question are № 52016000000000112 of April 20, 2016, and № 52017000000000362 of June 1, 2017, closed by the Prosecutor General's Office on December, 6, 2017 and the Head Investigation Department of the National Police on Jun мe, 20, 2018 respectively.

Back in 2013, we built two largest full-cycle egg production complexes in Eurasia - Avis in the Khmelnitsky region and Chernobaevsky in the Kherson region, and now we are accused of their non-existence, which is absurd and complete nonsense. Such allegations demonstrate the complete incompetence of the officials having opened these cases.

These cases are being used to put pressure on our company. We understand that both the NABU and those officials in the General Prosecutor's Office who opened them neglect the law and despise justice. They do not care whether there is at least some legal basis for bringing such charges and prosecuting our company, but they have a great desire to simply destroy it. No matter how - either by opening a case against the VAB bank, or by interrogating 10 thousand Ukrlandfarming employees, searches at the production sites, or opening more and more criminal cases. We will not tolerate such gross violations of our rights.

We are appealing to you, Mr. President, and recalling that the well-being of 27 thousand companies' employees, has become a hostage to such actions. We remind you of more than UAH 2.5 billion company pays in taxes, and about UAH 3 billion payed in salaries. We remind you that the NABU, which is a consumer of large budgetary allocations, is actually destroying those delivering these funds by filling the budget. And the official heading the NABU is, as he has done before to other people, using the agency to get his personal revenge, by destroying a large company important for the Ukrainian economy. And we understand that this man will not stop.

Therefore, we are appealing to you, Mr. President, as the guarantor of the Constitution, the guarantor of our rights, the guarantor of the country's economic security: stop Mr. Sytnik, who has overcome the powers of reason in the blind desire for revenge, who is manipulating and using the law enforcement agency for personal purposes contrary to the economic interests of our state.

We will fight for our rights. We and our employees will be forced to protest. We will knock on every door to be heard. It’s hard for us to struggle with the system, but we cannot just watch our company being ruined. And we hope that, guided by the interests of the state, you will stop the NABU and its director, who in his pursuit for revenge is ignoring the reason itself.
